Gary Crook

President & Chief Executive Officer


Gary was a founding member of the executive team in 2001 that led Micro Focus from a $60M private entity, through IPO in 2005 to a $1.5B global enterprise software leader in 2009. During this time, Gary served as the Global Vice President of Product Development with 450 staff in 10 locations. Prior to 2001, Gary spent 3 years working for an enterprise ISV developing bespoke application systems and joined Micro Focus in 1987 working in a variety of technical, product management and leadership roles in both the UK and California.

Mark Haynie

Chief Technology Officer


Mark has over 25 years experience in IT and has conducted seminars and published papers and books on design automation, database design and high performance transaction systems. Mark spent 15 years at plug-compatible mainframe manufacturer Amdahl Corporation, where he was in charge of the systems architecture group responsible for mainframe clustering designs for high performance transaction systems. Mark had started three Silicon Valley high-tech companies just prior to joining Micro Focus in 1999 where he was the focal point in defining products and services to help IT organizations re-host IBM mainframe applications on to Windows, UNIX or Linux environments.

Kevin Moultrup

Chief Operating Officer


Kevin has more than 25 years of executive leadership and sales experience, including 18 years at Micro Focus in executive roles such as EVP WW Channel Sales and President of North America where he was responsible for sales, services, and marketing. Kevin was on the executive team that purchased Micro Focus in 2001 and grew the revenues from $90 million to $470M. Before joining Micro Focus, Kevin spent 6 years in various sales and marketing roles at Sun Microsystems. Kevin graduated from California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo with degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration.

Edward Abbati

Chief Financial Officer


A senior executive with over 20 years of business experience working with internationally-based software and Internet companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 organizations, Edward has a strong financial and accounting background along with extensive technology licensing and sales operations experience. From 2001, Edward spent 9 years as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Global IP Solutions (“GIPS”). Prior to working at GIPS, Edward worked with Intarka, Autodesk Ventures, Micro Focus, Viacom Cable and Ford Motor Company in various financial roles. Edward received his MBA from the University of San Francisco and his BBA from Western Michigan University.

Charles Krahling

Executive Vice President, Sales & Business Development


With more than 25 years of senior sales & marketing experience, Chick’s most recent role was as EVP of Sales for NES Financial. Previously Chick was VP of Sales for Systems Integrator & Federal Channels at Micro Focus where he managed over $25M in enterprise software sales through partners such as HP/EDS, Accenture & CSC. At Pyramid Technology Chick was responsible for sales & marketing in Asia Pacific. He has also worked in the Telecom industry in Canada as a sales executive, and in Saudi Arabia as a General Manager. After graduating with a B.A. from the University of Maryland, Chick began his career in marketing with IBM out of Washington D.C.

Reza Warnink

Vice President, EMEA Sales & Business Development


Reza has more than 20 years of executive leadership and sales experience. Before joining Heirloom Computing, Reza spent 11 years at Micro Focus as vice president in Micro Focus International, where he was responsible for sales, services, and marketing in Northern Europe. During his tenure, he built a team in his territories that increased revenue from $8 million in 2004 to $60 million in 2010. Prior to Micro Focus, Reza worked in various sales management positions at Merant, ABN AMRO, and Compunet BV.

Ian White

Vice President, Product Development


With over 16 years of experience in the enterprise technology industry, Ian most recently led development of the cloud computing group at Micro Focus. Prior to that appointment, Ian served as a founding member of the Micro Focus CTO office, where he provided strategic guidance to blue chip organizations and partners implementing enterprise cloud platforms. Originally from the UK, Ian relocated to California in 2000 to spend several years working with industry luminaries on Web Service standards, and was a frequent speaker at worldwide conferences on the subjects of web services, performance & application modernization.
